Maksim “Max” Egorov · Candidate for Irvine Mayor

Your voice.
Your city.
Our future.

Hi, I’m Maksim Egorov — most people simply call me Max. This is a community-powered campaign for residents who believe Irvine’s future should be shaped by the people who live here — not by partisan politics or the influence of special interests.

I attended City Council meetings, listened to residents, spoke publicly, and learned about the issues facing our city. Over time, I felt that my voice — and the voices of many residents who took the time to participate — were not always reflected in the decisions being made. That experience helped inspire me to run for Mayor: to bring residents’ priorities forward and offer a practical, solutions-focused, nonpartisan approach.

Why this campaign

Irvine belongs to all of us. Its future should be shaped together with residents.
City Hall should listen and ensure community voices are part of the decision-making process.

A community-driven effort

More than a campaign. A way for residents to be heard.

This campaign invites people from every neighborhood and political background to share ideas, raise concerns, and help build practical solutions for Irvine.

Showing up

Engaged since 2023

Max has been actively following Irvine city issues since 2023. Since May 13, 2025, he has become more actively involved, attending most meetings in person, listening to residents, speaking publicly, and staying engaged on issues affecting Irvine’s future.

Open space

Advocacy grounded in action

Much of Max’s civic involvement has focused on the future of Irvine’s open space and parks — studying proposals, speaking publicly, and working with residents to protect quality of life.

FAMILY & FUTURE GENERATIONS

Preserving what makes Irvine special.

Irvine is where my family lives, where our children are growing up, and where we are building our future.

Previous generations helped preserve significant open space for our community to enjoy. I believe we have a responsibility to continue that effort — protecting Irvine’s open spaces so future generations can experience and enjoy them too.

What we protect today becomes part of the Irvine we leave to the next generation.

Meet Max

Maksim Egorov—known to friends, neighbors, and colleagues as Max.

Open-space advocate. Not a career politician.

For more than ten years, Max has worked on software-development teams solving complex problems, improving reliability, and delivering results.

His professional career includes experience as part of a team at a Fortune 10 technology company, at a global news and information company, and, early in his IT career, at a leading international e-commerce company.

Engineers are trained to ask questions, examine evidence, identify root causes, test solutions, and measure outcomes. Max brings that same practical approach to public service.

He is an Irvine parent, neighborhood leader, school volunteer, and open-space advocate. He is running to make City Hall more transparent, accountable, accessible, and responsive to residents.

PERSONAL MILESTONE

Runner.

Outside of work and community involvement, running has been an important part of my life. Completing the Los Angeles Marathon was a personal accomplishment I am proud of.

I enjoy setting ambitious goals, preparing for them, and challenging myself to keep improving. Running also gives me time to think and reset.

26.2 miles. One unforgettable Los Angeles Marathon.

My priorities

Practical goals for a stronger Irvine

Clear priorities. Measurable action. Accountability.

01

One Irvine

Represent every village, generation, and cultural community with an accessible mayor’s office and respectful, nonpartisan leadership.

02

Protect Irvine’s open space

Defend the voter-approved protections of Open Space Ballot Initiative Resolution 88-1, preserve connected habitats, and make major land-use decisions transparent to residents. I am committed to pursuing a clear and transparent ballot measure that gives Irvine voters a voice in the future of our open space.

03

Responsible city spending

Strengthen oversight of contracts and major projects, promote public accountability, and support prudent use of taxpayer dollars.

04

Safe, well-maintained neighborhoods

Keep Irvine safe, prepared, and moving. Support strong public safety, wildfire and emergency preparedness, well-maintained roads and public spaces, and improvements that make it easier and safer to move throughout our city.

05

Practical, Results-Focused Government

Focus on facts, measurable results, and practical solutions. Major city decisions should have clear goals, transparent reasoning, and accountability for results.
