Max’s story

From engineering to community service

Born and raised in Russia, Max earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career in international trade and later became a company director. In 2015, he immigrated to the United States through the Diversity Visa program and built a career in software development.

Over more than a decade in technology, Max has worked as part of teams at a Fortune 10 technology company, a global news and information company, and a leading international e-commerce company. His work has centered on solving complex problems, improving systems, examining risks, and delivering measurable results.

Since 2023, Max has regularly attended Irvine City Council meetings, studied major decisions, and spoken publicly on issues important to residents. His involvement deepened during the debate over the future of the Oak Creek Golf Course property. He joined fellow residents in calling for open-space protection, transparent decision-making, and a stronger public voice in Irvine’s future.

Max is a small-business owner and licensed real estate professional. He serves on his HOA board and on the board of Save Irvine Open Space. He also takes part in his children’s school community and volunteers when opportunities arise.

Max lives in Irvine with his wife and their two sons. His mother also lives in Irvine, and Max helps care for her—making the city home to three generations of his family.
